John W. Ketchum
Chief Executive Officer

John Ketchum is chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: NEP), a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE). NextEra Energy Partners acquires, manages and owns contracted clean energy projects with stable, long-term cash flows. He assumed these roles in April 2022. Mr. Ketchum also is chairman, president and CEO of NextEra Energy, a leading clean energy company, and chairman of NextEra Energy’s rate-regulated electric utility Florida Power & Light Company.

Mr. Ketchum joined NextEra Energy in 2002. He has served as president and CEO of NextEra Energy Resources, a competitive clean energy supplier and the world’s largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun and a world leader in battery storage. He has also served as chief financial officer of NextEra Energy and as chief financial officer of FPL. His previous roles at NextEra Energy Partners include president and chief financial officer.

Mr. Ketchum holds a Master of Laws degree in taxation and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he was managing editor of the Law Review. Mr. Ketchum earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and finance, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona. He has also completed the Emerging CFO – Strategic Financial Leadership Program at Stanford University.

Rebecca J. Kujawa

Rebecca Kujawa is president and a member of the board of directors of NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: NEP), a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE). NextEra Energy Partners acquires, manages and owns contracted clean energy projects with stable, long-term cash flows. She was appointed to her current position in March 2022.

Ms. Kujawa is also president and chief executive officer of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, a competitive energy supplier with approximately 24,600 megawatts of total net generating capacity, primarily in 38 states and Canada as of year-end 2021. 

Ms. Kujawa joined NextEra Energy in 2007 in NextEra Energy Marketing and has held various business and finance roles. She previously served as executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer (CFO) for NextEra Energy, a leading clean energy company; executive vice president, finance and CFO of the company’s rate-regulated electric utility subsidiary, Florida Power & Light Company; and CFO and a member of the board of directors of NextEra Energy Partners. In addition, she has held the positions of vice president of business management for NextEra Energy Resources; vice president of business management for the Midwest and International region for NextEra Energy Resources; and director of investor relations for NextEra Energy. Ms. Kujawa serves on the board of directors for Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited.

Prior to joining the company, Ms. Kujawa served as senior vice president of equity research at Stanford Group Company, and she began her career as an equity derivatives analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Ms. Kujawa holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and previously was a member of the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers’ joint committee on the research analyst qualification exams. Ms. Kujawa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public policy studies and graduated with honors from Duke University.

 

 


 

Brian Bolster
Chief Financial Officer

Brian Bolster is chief financial officer (CFO) for NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: NEP), a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE). NextEra Energy Partners acquires, manages and owns contracted clean energy projects with stable, long-term cash flows. He was appointed to his current position in May 2024.

Mr. Bolster is also executive vice president, finance and CFO for NextEra Energy, a leading clean energy company. In addition, he is executive vice president, finance and CFO of the company’s vertically integrated rate-regulated electric utility subsidiary, Florida Power & Light Company.

Mr. Bolster joined the partnership from Goldman Sachs following a nearly 25-year career at the firm. He was head of natural resources in the Americas with responsibility for the administration of investment banking across power, infrastructure, chemicals, energy, metals and mining. He joined the energy and power group at Goldman Sachs as an associate in 1999, was named managing director in 2007 and became a partner in 2012. Over his nearly two-and-a-half-decade career at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Bolster played an integral role in growing the firm’s natural resources business. He worked with teams across the firm to meet the unique needs of Goldman Sachs’ power, utilities and infrastructure clients, providing seamless cross border capabilities and connecting resources and products around the world.

Mr. Bolster holds a Bachelor of Arts in government and an MBA and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.

 

Charles E. Sieving
General Counsel

Charles E. Sieving is general counsel of NEP, a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE) to own, operate and acquire contracted clean energy projects.

Mr. Sieving is also executive vice president & general counsel of NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE), a leading clean energy company. He is the head of the corporate legal department, is responsible for the legal affairs of the company, oversees the company's environmental services group, is responsible for ensuring the organization's operations are conducted in compliance with ethical business practices and company policies and is responsible for developing and monitoring compliance with rules and standards of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Public Utility Commission of Texas, and North American Electric Reliability Corporation. He joined NextEra Energy in December 2008.

Previously, Mr. Sieving served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of one of the largest publicly-held competitive telecommunications companies at the time, where he had responsibility for all legal, regulatory, and legislative affairs. Before that, he was a partner in the Corporate, Securities and Finance Practice Group of Hogan & Hartson, L.L.P. in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on representation of public companies in securities and business combination transactions, on corporate governance and on securities law and stock exchange compliance matters. Mr. Sieving was a frequent contributor to that firm's publication on SEC and stock exchange developments.

Mr. Sieving received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was Publications Editor of the Cincinnati Law Review, and received his B.A. from Denison University. He is a member of the New York, Washington, D.C. and Ohio bars.

James May
Controller and Chief Accounting Officer

James May is controller and chief accounting officer of NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: NEP) a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE). NextEra Energy Partners acquires, manages and owns contracted clean energy projects with stable, long-term cash flows.

Mr. May is also vice president, controller and chief accounting officer for NextEra Energy. In this role, he is responsible for accounting, financial reporting and internal control policies and matters for NextEra Energy and its principal subsidiaries, NextEra Energy Resources and Florida Power & Light Company.

Mr. May joined NextEra Energy in 2013 and he has held various finance and accounting roles. He previously served as the corporate controller for NextEra Energy Resources, LLC from April 2015 until March 2019.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. May worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP as a senior manager providing advisory and audit services to the energy industry for more than 12 years. During that time, he primarily served the energy industry in multiple sectors specializing in energy transacting, merger integration, initial public offerings, IFRS conversions, spin-offs and was one of the company’s specialists in alternative energy matters.

Mr. May also spent two years in Deloitte & Touche’s national office assisting the firm’s leaders establishing accounting guidance, coordinating various standard setting efforts, authoring publications, and communicating new and proposed standards to Deloitte’s clients and engagement teams.

Mr. May received his Bachelor and Master of Accounting from the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Michael Dunne
Treasurer and Assistant Secretary

Michael Dunne is treasurer and assistant secretary of NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: NEP), a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE) to own, operate and acquire contracted clean energy projects.

Mr. Dunne is also treasurer for NextEra Energy, Inc., a leading clean energy company. In this role, he is responsible for the financing activities for the holding company and various subsidiaries, maintaining corporate credit ratings, banking relationships, short-term liquidity, and cash management functions. He was appointed to his current position in February 2023.

Prior to his role as treasurer, he held a leadership role on the treasury team, working with company’s banking group to source capital to support growth prospects. In addition, he served as vice president of finance, leading a team responsible for enterprise-level financing activities, which worked closely with NextEra Energy Resources business units to identify optimal financing structures.

Prior to joining NextEra Energy in early 2022, Mr. Dunne served as managing director, power and renewables, investment banking for Bank of America, where he led the firm’s renewable and energy transition strategic advisory efforts, including $100 billion in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, and was responsible for integrating leverage finance, commodity, M&A and capital markets to develop unique solutions for strategic and financial investors. He joined Bank of America in 2002 and held positions of increasing responsibility during his tenure.

Mr. Dunne holds a law degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s in economics and history from Duke University.

Mark E. Hickson
Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development

Mark Hickson is executive vice president, strategy and corporate development and a member of the board of NextEra Energy Partners, LP (NYSE: NEP), a growth-oriented limited partnership formed by NextEra Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NEE). NextEra Energy Partners acquires, manages and owns contracted clean energy projects with stable, long-term cash flows.

In this role, Mr. Hickson is responsible for corporate strategy, business development and integration activities. From March 2014 to February 2017, Mr. Hickson served as vice president, strategy and corporate development for NextEra Energy Partners. In February 2015, he became a member of the board. He was appointed to his current position in February 2017.

Mr. Hickson joined NextEra Energy in 2012 as vice president, corporate development and operational excellence. In 2015, he was named senior vice president, corporate development, strategy, quality and integration. In 2017, he was promoted to his current position of executive vice president of corporate development, strategy, quality and integration. Previously, Mr. Hickson worked at Merrill Lynch & Co from 1997 to 2012, where he was given increasing levels of responsibility and eventually served as managing director in the global mergers and acquisitions business unit within Investment Banking until 2012.

Mr. Hickson holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University, where he graduated with honors.
